LIBRARY EVENTS

October 4th is Eudora Fest! The library will be in front of the old fire station with books for sale and children’s activities! We will be there all day!

October 11th is our Fall Fire Safety Fun Fair! We will be across the street from the library in the parking lot with fire trucks, pumpkins to decorate, snacks and other fun activities! We hope to see you ALL there!

Don’t forget to come in to the library and sign up for our 1st annual Pirate Paarrrrrty on October 18th! There are still 6 spots available! $5/pirate. Lunch will be provided!

October 29th is our Fall Festival Party at the library! Come dressed up and trick or treat! At 11:00, Miss Lindsey will read fun fall books and have activities and snacks!

Fall Story Time! Ages 2-6, Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m, schedules available upon request during registration. *Note: Registration for fall story time is currently closed.

LIBRARY ACTIVITIES

*WEDNESDAY Story Time (ages 2-6) Wednesdays starting at 10:00 a.m.-Story Time focuses on the 6×6 program. The 6×6 program is a statewide program that emphasizes on the six skills all children learn before the age of 6 in regards to reading. The six skills are:
1. Have fun with books!
2. Notice print all around you!
3. Look for letters everywhere!
4. Tell stories about everything!
5. Talk, talk, talk!
6. Take time to rhyme!

*TinyToys-an area in the old library catalog that has several hands on games and activities for all ages to enjoy.  Just pull out a drawer and start playing!  Games include Battleship, Uno, Dominoes, Mr. Potato Head, and more!

*Summer Reading (all ages).  Sign-up begins the last week of May.  Summer reading includes an exciting kick-off program, entertaining weekly activities, and ends with a splash!  For those who COMPLETE the summer reading requirements, there is a pool party! * NEW CHANGES COMING TO THE SUMMER READING PROGRAM STARTING SUMMER 2015!
